The existing design is an old-fashioned farmhouse style with a closed kitchen and an 8-foot ceiling height. To reduce the sense of confinement and maximize the visual expansion of the space, we removed the wall between the kitchen and living room. We designed two recessed ceilings with decorative light strips, avoiding the main beam in the center of the house to reduce costs while naturally creating a dining and kitchen zoning.
